THE STRANGE AND PECULIAR HABIT OF RONNIE BARSTOW (excerpt) by Steven Holding.
Upon waking, Ronald would commence each day with a rigorous examination of his feet. Sitting on his bed, legs crossed, one foot sitting comfortably in his lap, he would make a detailed and thorough inspection in-between his toes, carefully evaluating the skins condition. He was, like many, prone to severe bouts of athlete's foot. But rather than taking the necessary precautions required to treat this unpleasant and irritating complaint, Ronald actively encouraged its development. He would wear two to three pairs of thick woollen socks all year round, regardless of the weather. This, coupled with his choice of a chunky leather brogue, resulted in a moist, sweaty environment in which the foot fungus positively flourished. The reason was simple. For Ronald, there was no greater pleasure in life than the sensation he experienced when scratching at his infected limbs. The maddening itch first felt upon peeling off socks and exposing pinkies to fresh air sent him into a frenzied state of delicious anticipation. But this subtle and slight teasing paled in comparison to the orgasmic delight that ran through his body when he finally relented and began to furiously rub at the dry, white, flaking flesh. The look upon his face said it all. As he worked his way along each foot, servicing the crevice between each toe, his features would screw up tightly into a mask of pure contentment. But his biggest smile was always saved for when the task was done and, finally, he could sniff his fingers.
