"I know I believe in nothing but it is my nothing"

Richard James Edwards

DUB BELL by Steven Holding.

POP!

This shindig’s almost over. All that’s left is one hell of a mess.

First to arrive, last to leave; misshapen safety pin probing white and blue latex skin.

No one loves a party pooper. Nevertheless, they burst the balloon, big bang filling the darkened room.

Inflates another, then releases it.

MYSTERIOUS WAYS

Never considered religion until my beloved went under. Doctors odds 50/50.

In the toilet stall, got (piss) on my knees, hands clasped together, pleading.

God, let them live. Please.

Realised prayer was a “genie in the bottle” kind of affair, when they did and they did.

Just not with me.
